A Magical Evening at the NACE Hampton Roads Holiday Party

On December 4, 2024, Vivid Expressions LLC had the pleasure of sponsoring creative live event art at the enchanting first Holiday Party for our new local chapter of the National Association for Catering and Events - NACE Hampton Roads. Held at The Legacy at Willow Pond, a stunning new venue with a modern French country-inspired design, crisp cream interiors, and breathtaking crystal chandeliers, the evening was nothing short of magical.

The event’s refined white and green theme was brought to life with twinkling candles, evergreens, and sparkling white lights. Guests enjoyed scrumptious catering by Chef by Design and exquisite rentals from Curated Events Chesapeake and Waterford Event Rentals, all coming together to create a truly memorable atmosphere.

As part of the evening, I offered live watercolor sketches of guests—a unique, personalized keepsake. Each sketch, completed in around five minutes, captured the charm and elegance of the evening. Guests mingled in front of my table, watching as I quickly sketched and painted on 9x6-inch watercolor paper. Once completed, the paintings were displayed to dry before being slipped into clear protective sleeves for guests to take home.

The joy and delight on guests’ faces as they saw their portraits was the highlight of the evening for me. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with local wedding and event professionals in such a beautiful and festive setting.
